Groot Handelsgebouw

Rotterdam, Netherlands

Groot Handelsgebouw (GHG) was built in 1953, and is an architectural icon of Rotterdam’s post-war reconstruction. The eight-story building is over 120,000 square meters and is one of the largest multi-tenant business buildings in The Netherlands. More than 450 companies have offices at GHG and they are an energetic and engaged community. Located in the heart of Rotterdam Central District and next to Central Station, millions of national and international people pass through each year, making GHG the place Where Rotterdam Meets The World. GHG features natural light, floor-to-ceiling windows, and 3-meter ceiling heights; three interior open-air courtyards connected via a private elevated street through the building. In 2010, GHG was declared a listed national monument and is being repositioned as an innovation hub.
