ATLANTA, GA (September 19, 2025) –– Ponce City Market announces Terminal 26, a Thai street food restaurant inspired by the country’s iconic floating markets, will open on the ground floor of the Central Food Hall in spring 2026. The new concept is from sisters Niki and Tanya Pattharakositkul, who were born and raised in Thailand and are also behind Atlanta-area Thai restaurants 26 Thai and Pink Lotus, and Blackjack Bar Tapas – a restaurant serving craft cocktails and Asian tapas.
Open daily for lunch and dinner service, Terminal 26 will offer traditional and reimagined Thai seafood dishes from Niki, an entrepreneur with over a decade of experience in the Thai culinary world. Her love of eating, exploring and sharing the flavors of her homeland has fueled years of hands-on work – from running her own restaurants to traveling across Thailand and the world in search of memorable dishes. Niki is on a mission to bring more people the experience of the depth, vibrancy, and creativity of Thai cuisine –– not just as it is, but as it could be. Through her reimagination of “street food on water,” Terminal 26 brings the energy of Thailand’s floating markets into a fresh, modern “waterfront” setting.
Expect bold, craveable dishes like Thai boat noodles simmered in a rich, spiced broth, and the Bangkok Oyster Omelette – a crispy–chewy egg and rice flour pancake topped with plump oysters and served with a tangy chili-lime mignonette. Other highlights include Crispy Turmeric Fried Chicken (Hat Yai), Raw Oysters with nahm jim mignonette, and Fresh Grilled Jumbo River Prawns with chili-lime vinaigrette –– a lineup that balances street food soul with modern, ingredient-driven flair. For dessert, guests can look for Khanom Krok, warm and creamy coconut-rice cakes with crisped edges, served street-style with seasonal toppings. On the beverage side, guests can expect an extensive selection of wine and beer, alongside floating market–inspired craft cocktails — think tropical fruits, chili, fresh herbs and just enough ingredients in a glass to keep you guessing.
Designed by Thai-based architects, Terminal 26’s ambiance draws inspiration from the country’s celebrated floating markets, echoing the feeling of dining aboard a boat drifting along a Thai river. The restaurant will feature a reflective table evoking a flowing river in the center of the space, with fishing net hanging from the ceiling, and an illusion of falling water along the walls. Fresh seafood will be on display, and a glass window will give guests a view as chefs prepare dishes.
Both Niki and Tanya moved to the U.S. for college, with Tanya studying engineering at Georgia Tech and Niki earning a marketing degree with honors at Georgia State University. Niki always dreamed of opening a restaurant, and after attending culinary school in Thailand to master the cuisine, she opened the first location of 26 Thai Kitchen and Bar in Buckhead’s Lindbergh neighborhood in 2016. Tanya later joined her sister in the business as co-owner and COO of the concept. Terminal 26 is an idea brought to life by both sisters and encapsulates the spirit of Thailand that they both cherish.
