CHARLOTTE, N.C. (June 30, 2026) – Jane Manfredi, owner of local paper goods store Good Postage, announced today plans to open her second concept at Camp North End in Charlotte’s North End district by the end of the summer. Called Good Game, the store will sell board games, card games, trading cards, and game accessories, and will host events for guests to learn games and compete.
Manfredi opened Good Postage at Camp North End in 2020 alongside her mother Karen, selling one-of-a-kind, hand-drawn paper goods printed locally in Charlotte using recycled papers. The store also sells writing utensils, art supplies, bags, and accessories, and due to popularity has expanded its footprint at Camp North End twice since its opening.
After visiting game shops up and down the East Coast during her travels, Manfredi was left underwhelmed with the options available. Noticing that the stores were always packed, though, she aimed to open a concept that is welcoming for all people, from beginners to seasoned gamers and those just looking for something to pass the time.
“My overall goal is to create an accessible place where people of all backgrounds can learn new games or hone their skills with their favorites,” said Jane Manfredi. “Over the last six years of owning Good Postage, I have noticed a desire to return to in-person connection and analog hobbies that don’t involve digital screens. I hope to further foster this sense of togetherness by creating a space where people can explore new experiences while deepening their appreciation for the games they already love.”
Good Game’s design will be reminiscent of classic game pieces, with the exterior of the storefront painted to look like a game die. Signage will include oversized dice and a Queen playing card, the latter a nod to Charlotte’s nickname. Inside, the 818-square-foot store will feature rounded design elements with a pale blue and safety red color scheme. Display tables will fill the center of the space, while a curved plywood shelf will line the walls to showcase merchandise. The back half of the store will feature a “trading card bar” with a selection of Pokémon trading cards for customers to request.
In addition to selling classic and niche games, Good Game will host events and programming focused on game education, casual play, and more competitive gaming. The store will provide a weekly and monthly schedule of gameplay sessions and other community events for guests to join. Manfredi plans to collaborate with neighboring Camp North End businesses to host gameplay events, further expanding her concept while creating a local community of gamers.
“We are excited to continue our story at Camp North End, which since 2020 has provided us with an incredible community of people who have supported us from the beginning. The Camp North End team has been an outstanding partner throughout our journey, creating an environment where we can really evolve and grow,” said Manfredi.
Good Game will join the tenants in Camp North End’s Keswick District, including boutique cocktail and small bites lounge Room Service; local skateboarding staple Parts & Service; retro candy store Life Is Sweet; dairy-free ice cream purveyor Seemingly Overzealous; fast-casual Middle Eastern restaurant Halal Street Food; and indie vinyl shop Hardy Boys Records & Comics.
“The vision of Camp North End has always included a commitment to creating opportunities for local entrepreneurs to test new ideas, build their brand, and grow with the project,” said Varian Shrum, Chief of Staff at Camp North End. “Jane’s journey with Good Postage and now Good Game is a perfect example of this vision in action. We’re so excited to see her new concept come to fruition and introduce another welcoming space to our community."
Camp North End is owned and managed by Jamestown, a global real estate investment and management company. The full tenant lineup at Camp North End also includes small businesses such as specialty beer and wine store Cork & Cap; blackwork and pop-culture tattoo shop Glitch Tattoo; Latin street food stall La Caseta; Korean barbecue fusion stall Blasian Asian Way; personal electric vehicles shop Rent EBoards Charlotte; The Revelry North End, a 600-seat, 23,000-square-foot event venue; and gym & wellness center You vs. Yourself.
