Jamestown Releases Plans for Upper Westside Development

Three-Building Site to Become Vibrant Mixed-Use Destination

Atlanta, GA – (March 16, 2021) Jamestown, the Atlanta-based real estate investment and management company, today released plans to redevelop its three-building site in the Upper Westside of Atlanta, Georgia. To be known as Allied Studios, the 220,000 square-foot site will include creative office, retail, restaurants, and showroom space.

Acquired by Jamestown in 2019, the property includes three buildings situated along Hills Place at Collier Road between West Midtown and Buckhead.

“This redevelopment is an outgrowth of the Westside’s popularity, which has propelled the submarket for the last 20 years,” said Michael Phillips, President of Jamestown. “Following the evolution of West Midtown, the Upper Westside neighborhood has begun to transform into an eclectic office, retail and entertainment node, and Allied Studios will further catalyze this progression.”

With significant new development and infrastructure improvements in the submarket, including the Westside Beltline and Silver Comet trail expansions, Allied Studios is squarely in the path of growth and primed to be part of Atlanta’s next prominent in-town district.

The Allied Studios project is anchored by 120,000 square feet of planned creative office space that is thoughtfully designed to incorporate post-COVID features emphasizing comfort and safety. The project will offer tenants single-level format space with direct suite access from the exterior, touchless entries, private tenant patios, significant green space, and ample surface parking.

In addition to these space features, Allied Studios will offer property-wide amenities, including a thoughtful food and beverage program that will service both the property’s office tenants and the broader submarket.

Jamestown is well known for its extensive experience in repositioning industrial buildings into cutting-edge creative office and innovative lab facilities. The Innovation and Design Building in Boston is a prime example of how Jamestown’s thoughtful stewardship has successfully converted an industrial building into a 1.35 million square foot mix of lab and creative offices. Tenants include Reebok's global headquarters, Ginkgo BioWorks, AutoDesk & America's Test Kitchen. Additional prominent re-development projects include Ponce City Market locally, and Chelsea Market in New York City.
