Partnerships and Industry Highlights

  • Project Destined – Project Destined is a leading social impact platform that provides training in financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and real estate. Project Destined leverages a work-based learning approach where students work with executives to evaluate live deals in their community and present them in a pitch competition to industry leaders. Scholars emerge with the skills, confidence, experiences, and networks that prepare them to secure a strong first job and become stakeholders in their community. Jamestown sponsored two classes of Project Destined interns providing mentorship and guidance the summer of 2022.
  • University Settlement – Jamestown partnered with College Passport to create an internship program giving NYC-area high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to learn about future career opportunities in commercial real estate, as well as college readiness, financial aid processes, and the college application process.
  • PREA Foundation – The Pension Real Estate Association (PREA) Foundation’s mission is to further the interests and values of the institutional real estate investment community by advancing industry-wide diversity and inclusion. Members of Jamestown’s Investor Relations team are active members of PREA. Jamestown’s contributions to the Foundation have supported PREA’s program with Sponsors for Educational Opportunity (SEO) that is a first-of-its-kind real estate training program for qualified Black, Hispanic, and Native American undergraduates.
  • ILPA – The ILPA Diversity in Action initiative brings together limited partners and general partners who share a commitment to advancing diversity, equity and inclusion in the private equity industry. The goal of the initiative is to motivate market participants to engage in the journey towards becoming more diverse and inclusive and to build momentum around the adoption of specific actions that advance DEI over time. Jamestown is a signatory of the Diversity in Action initiative and has committed to actions that advance diversity and inclusion, both within the organization and the industry more broadly.
